My Last Week!

So I’ve been putting off this last post for a week, mostly because the holidays have been crazy and I haven’t stopped going since I got home but also because it just doesn’t feel real that the journey is over.

My last week in Korea was absolutely incredible. I finished my last week by watching the sunrise on the beach, having a Christmas party with my friends in studio, ice skating, and staying up watching “Nailed It” with my roommate till three in the morning. I shopped, I ate, and I visited some of my favorite places for the last time. It was an absolutely incredible last week in Busan, South Korea.

I wish I’d had more time in Korea. I wish Christmas could’ve been pushed back a few weeks. I feel like I had just become really confident and sure in what I was doing and where I was going. It took me awhile to get over the shock and hesitancy that came with being in a new country by myself.

I can’t imagine what this semester would’ve been like if I hadn’t had the opportunity to go to Korea, meet the people I did, see the places I did, and just have a completely different experience. The experience I had was eye opening, and was an incredible opportunity to see how people across the world live, how Asian architectural design is different than American design, and meet people from across the world. I left Korea with friends from Finland, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, and so many places across the world. I have a goal for the next decade to visit at least 5 different countries, and I think I have some really great places to start.

I miss Korea already, but I’m so grateful to be home for the holidays and to share my experiences abroad with my family. I can’t wait to go back to South Korea soon and visit all my friends across the world!

Thanks for all the support and prayers over my trip. All of it meant a lot to me and I can’t say thank you enough!
