This past week was the last of my classes for the semester! Officially done (besides taking the final) with korean language! The korean government mandates that universities have a certain number of classes and so this next week is a makeup week for classes. This week my studio group is beginning to wrap up our semester project and make models for final presentation next week. It blows my mind that everything is wrapping up and ending soon. Two weeks till I leave Busan and Korea for a while.
This weekend I went to Seoul again with a group of friends, and it was a very different experience traveling with a big group of friends as opposed to traveling by myself or with my family. Overall the weekend was so much fun and I’m glad to have had one more opportunity to visit Seoul with friends before we all get down to studying, finals, and then preparing to leave.
This last Wednesday was probably my last Wednesday adventure with how busy I’ll be the next two weeks. I went out for the evening to Oryukdo Skywalk and Islands. It’s the beginning of the Igidae Park Costal Walk and a place to watch the sunrise over the water. It was very pretty and a trip to get out there. I took the bus for probably almost an hour. The bus (as long as I have a seat) is probably one of my favorite ways to travel though here in Busan. You get to see the city change and people going about their day, unlike in the subway where you underground all the time.
I wish I had more time in South Korea. I feel like I’m the last month or so I’ve really begun to kinda settle in, feel really adjusted, and get out there to see more. I’m excited to be coming home for Christmas, but I wish it wasn’t so soon. This semester abroad has been an incredible experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I’ve grown, had a lot of self realizations, and gotten the chance to meet people from around the world and make friends I know will last past this semester. My mind and my eyes have been opened up to so much. The semester is ending and so is the year but I plan to bring all the energy and excitement for travel this semester has left with me into the new year.
Two weeks left!
