Week 6!

Week six passed by pretty quick. Had my first Korean Diction test, watched another movie in my film class, and did some studio design work.

This past week I’ve also been working on a presentation with a group for the International Camp +. We did a neighborhood visit during the beginning of a typhoon and it took my tennis shoes three days to completely dry out. The International Film festival is still going on and I hope to make it out there this week! All the plans I had to try and go over this past week fell through for some reason or another, but I’m determined to at least watch a few films this week!

I’m also hoping to visit Book Alley soon. Book Alley is a famous street in the Nampo-gu district, close to where my studio is actual doing a market renewal project, that is lined with book stores and coffee shops. Sounds like a place for me!

The weather is getting cooler and cooler here. There’s not a day this next week where it will get above 75 degrees and when my friends and I went out Saturday night we were freezing with the wind. In Texas it’s only now starting to dip into the 70’s and that’s because of an early cold front. Say a prayer for this Texas girl and the cold winter she’s about to endure.

I’ve always known I don’t have the best study habits, and really studio just reinforced that because it’s all projects. So I’m looking for tips on studying Korean Language. Let me know if you got some! I’ve started watching korean dramas on Netflix with English subtitles to try and maybe start associating some phrases! And I’m trying to pick out words that I hear around me and spell them in my translation app. Just looking for some extra tips to help me out with memorizing vocabulary and writing! Thanks!

This next week is looking to be another busy week! Classes, another test, studio proposals are due, and the International Camp + presentations are also this week. Fingers crossed for another great week!
